All About Matt

Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I graduated High School in 2008 and I am taking on line courses through a local community college towards a Business/Accounting Degree. In 2010, I completed the courses to become a certified personal trainer.

Q: Tell us about your racing career.
A: 2010 was my 15th year of racing Dirt track and I would not be able to live without it!  I started riding at the ripe age of 4, and I entered my first race the month before I turned five. When not at the races and during the offseason, riding and training consume most of my time. I ride my crf 100 around our mini-dirt track and I ride my crf 450 on our motorcross track and in the woods. During the busy race season, I am able to practice only a couple days per week. Since we are on the road a lot, my training is not as substantial as my offseason workouts.  During the offseason I train at the gym and work out with a personal trainer.  During the winter months, I ride my crf 100 and crf 450 on the ice at local ponds and lakes. Last winter I went to Neeses,South Carolina and ran their winter series.

Q: What are some other interests that you have?
A: Most of my time is spent traveling to races, working out with my trainer and at the gym, working part time at the gym or for my grandpa, or practicing.  I also like to play basketball and go to the movies.

Q: Tell us some of your favorites.

What is your favorite food? Without a doubt, Chinese food.

 How about favorite restaurant? Applebees.

 Season? Surely summer.

Any favorite tracks? Definetly Three Rivers, Quebec.

And what about day of the week? Whatever day that there is a race for that week.

What's your favorite movie? Happy Gilmore.

Do you have a favorite song? "Paint Me A Birmingham" by Tracy Lawrence.

Q: What is your job, and where do you work?
A: I am a full time racer and a part time student. I also work part time at my personal trainer's Gym.
